Amy Smith is an associate with Wright, Finlay & Zak’s Nevada office. Ms. Smith earned her Bachelor’s degree cum laude from Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. While in law school, Ms. Smith was a moot court member; and at graduation she was recognized by the Florida State Bar for her extensive service to local government. Ms. Smith was always recognized for having completed more than 250 hours of pro bono legal work during her law school career.

During law school, Ms. Smith was admitted to practice law under the Georgia Law Student Practice Act, and worked with the Dalton, Georgia Public Defender’s Office where she represented indigent clients at all stages of criminal prosecution. In May 2017, Ms. Smith relocated to Las Vegas with her fiancé. Upon relocating to Las Vegas, Ms. Smith worked as a law clerk for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office where she clerked for both the Criminal Prosecution Unit and the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Ms. Smith later worked as a law clerk with a worker’s compensation defense firm where she helped defend worker’s compensation and subsequent injury claims.

Since joining Wright, Finlay & Zak in 2018, Ms. Smith has focused her practice on real estate litigation, including lender and servicer liability defense, HOA litigation, wrongful foreclosure defense, and title disputes. Ms. Smith is admitted to practice in all Nevada state courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Ms. Smith is a member of the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court as well as the Clark County Bar Association.
