Charles C. McKenna is a partner at Wright, Finlay & Zak. Mr. McKenna’s business litigation practice focuses on real estate, with a particular emphasis on mortgage banking, lending and servicing disputes, and the representation of brokers. For over twenty-five years, Mr. McKenna has also represented his clients in Labor and Employment Law. Additionally, he counsels businesses with respect to regulatory and statutory compliance. Mr. McKenna represents his clients in state and federal courts throughout California. He has tried many cases in both the California Superior Courts and the United States District Courts, and has been counsel of record in numerous appeals before the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, including published opinions. Additionally, he has extensive mediation and arbitration experience. Mr. McKenna advises his clients in all aspects of their legal affairs, serving as general counsel for their business matters. Mr. McKenna guides his clients in a proactive manner, so as to reduce the risk of legal disputes arising from their corporate affairs. When a claim arises or proves necessary to pursue, however, he serves as not only lead litigation attorney in civil lawsuits, but as counsel before administrative agencies, including but not limited to the California Department of Real Estate, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Labor Commissioner and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Mr. McKenna is active in the legal community. He has served as a committee member for the Legislative and Regulatory Policy Group of the American Legal and Financial Network and has been active with the national Mortgage Bankers Association with respect to crafting legislative action at the federal level for the mortgage banking industry. Mr. McKenna is also a member of the California Mortgage Bankers Association and the Western Bankers Association, for whom he regularly provides webinars on important industry issues. Mr. McKenna is a member of the Warren J. Ferguson American Inn of Court in Orange County and regularly participates in legal conferences and seminars.
