Charles "Charley" Kausen graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2022 after earning a psychology degree from University of California at Santa Barbara in 2012. During law school, Charley was an extern for Judge Janis Sammartino of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He also served on the editorial staff of the San Diego Law Review, and Volume 59 featured his comment, “Taking One for the Team: COVID-19 Eviction Moratoria as Regulatory Takings.” After receiving his Juris Doctor, Charley joined Wright, Finlay & Zak where he practices real estate litigation, including lender and servicer liability defense, wrongful foreclosure defense, and title disputes.

In addition to practicing law, Charley enjoys taking his Border Collie Mix, Lucy, to the dog beach and traveling to national parks with his wife, Natalie. Charley is licensed to practice law in California.
