General Counsel Services Division

Wright, Finlay & Zak (“WFZ”) has the business, legal and practical expertise to help fill your company’s short or long-term in-house counsel needs. Most companies are not large enough to have their own in-house counsel. Yet, they still need day-to-day advice on legal issues impacting their business. Other companies have a General Counsel; but one who cannot possibly attend to all the company’s growing needs. In either instance, WFZ and its team of former in-house counsel can help.

WFZ can also assist our clients with negotiating and drafting a wide array of contracts with outside third parties. For example, we can provide legal assistance with respect to purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, confidentiality agreements, and security agreements, among others. As your “General Counsel”, WFZ can also provide immediate input to help avoid potential litigation and, if litigation is unavoidable, our seasoned litigation attorneys will represent your interests in court. If the litigation falls outside of the states we cover on the West Coast, we can manage the litigation through our national network of attorneys that we have developed while managing certain clients’ nationwide litigation over the last ten plus years.

With the experienced attorneys of WFZ available to you at all times, your company has the benefit of General Counsel, without the cost of a full-time in-house counsel. Once “in-house”, WFZ makes a special effort to learn and understand our client’s business so we can provide practical legal advice that is in tune with our client’s individual business philosophy and goals. And, when the time comes to hire a full time General Counsel or additional in-house support, WFZ can help with your search.
