General Counsel and Litigation Management Services Division

Since 2003, Wright, Finlay & Zak ("WFZ") has managed on a nationwide basis, the legal and litigation matters of several large financial institutions. Our general counsel and litigation management services include litigation intake and management, compliance services, hiring and overseeing local counsel, reviewing local counsel invoices, monthly reporting, ensuring consistency among local counsel and more. Our basic goal is to provide the client with a single point of contact for all legal matters, which will reduce the impact of our client's ever-increasing legal workload. Our general counsel role has given us keen insight into the inner workings of an in-house legal department, helping WFZ to better service our clients' needs. This experience has helped us develop key relationships with quality local counsel in the states that we do not personally cover.

In addition to providing ongoing general counsel services, WFZ also offers short term relief or project-based legal assistance. If a client is experiencing a sudden influx of legal matters due to a servicing transfer or asset purchase, faced with a short term loss of staff or simply needs assistance to bridge the gap until a full-time attorney can be hired, WFZ can place an attorney onsite or assist remotely depending on the need. When needed, WFZ can act as general counsel for a small or medium size client who needs dedicated counsel to handle its day-to-day legal needs, but either does not have the need for a full-time counsel or is searching for the right counsel to hire.
