Quality Representation and Excellent Service Your Legal Partner for Business, Real Estate and Mortgage Banking for the Western United States

Nationwide Litigation Management Division

Since 2003, Wright, Finlay & Zak ("WFZ") has managed the nationwide litigation portfolio for Credit Suisse and DLJ Mortgage. WFZ is also one of Ocwen’s Managing Counsel, managing local counsel in several states. Our litigation management responsibilities include litigation intake and file review, hiring and overseeing local counsel, reviewing invoices, monthly reporting, ensuring consistency among local counsel and generally assisting the communication between local counsel and in-house counsel to reduce the impact of a large case load on in-house counsel. Our litigation management role has given us keen insight into the inner workings of an in-house legal department, helping WFZ to provide better service to our clients. In addition, our litigation management experience has taught us the value of quality local counsel. As a litigation manager, you are only as good as your local counsel. This experience has helped us develop key relationships with quality local counsel in the states that we do not personally cover.

In addition to managing a client’s litigation portfolio, WFZ also offers short term or project-based case management. If a client is experiencing a sudden influx of cases due to a servicing transfer or asset purchase, faced with a short term loss of staff or simply needs assistance to bridge the gap until a full-time attorney can be hired, WFZ can place an attorney onsite or assist remotely depending on the need.

When needed, WFZ can also step in and act as General Counsel for a small or medium size client who needs dedicated counsel to handle its day-to-day legal needs, but either does not have a need for a full-time counsel or is searching for the right general counsel.
