Jason T. Baker, born and raised near Salt Lake City, Utah, has built his legal career defending a variety of clients in civil ligation, with an emphasis on consumer financial services. Mr. Baker’s clients include banks, mortgage loan services, and other financial institutions. His primary practice is focused on defending claims brought under federal consumer protection statutes (FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, RESPA, etc.), state consumer finance laws, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Baker has acted in many advisory roles for his clients; as in-house counsel, outside counsel, and special liaison, working internally with clients to develop litigation strategy, resolve business records issues, settle high value disputes, and negotiate contract terms. Mr. Baker joined Wright, Finlay & Zak in 2021. He is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Utah, Oregon and Idaho, and is an active member of the Salt Lake County Bar Association.
