Scott S. Anders recently joined Wright, Finlay & Zak’s Oregon and Washington practices in our Washington and Oregon practice. His experience includes acting as outside general counsel for multiple companies and a small municipality, managing all legal aspects of city litigation, development, zoning, public works and all litigation. In addition to his real estate and outside general counsel work, Mr. Anders also represents creditors, including multinational corporations, mortgage lenders, and regional banks, in state court and in bankruptcy proceedings.

Mr. Anders also served as a District Court Judge in the State of Washington. Prior to that, Mr. Anders worked for the Clark County, Washington, Prosecutor’s Office first as a criminal prosecutor, and then he moved to the Civil Division. Mr. Anders has presided over arbitration of disputes regarding the sale of multimillion-dollar properties. He has also drafted and edited purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, complex leases, evictions, and ground leases.

Mr. Anders is licensed to practice before all federal and state district courts in Washington and Oregon; U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, Western District of Washington, Eastern District of Washington, and District of Oregon; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
