Tony Kullen, a native of Larchmont, New York, and formerly of Sunnyside, Queens, began his legal career working on securities and corporate governance matters in New York City. Mr. Kullen was admitted to the New York bar after graduating from St. John’s University School of Law in June 2006. Mr. Kullen moved back to Portland, Oregon, in August 2009, and has been engaged in litigation and transactional work related to secured and unsecured debt, real estate, corporate finance, and bankruptcy ever since.

Mr. Kullen joined Wright, Finlay & Zak as Managing Attorney for its Oregon office in January 2018, after working with two other leading regional law firms, with a focus on business transactions and financial services litigation. Since joining Wright, Finlay & Zak, Mr. Kullen has focused primarily on creditors’ rights issues, real estate litigation (including lender and servicer liability defense), wrongful foreclosure defense, fair debt collection practices defense, title disputes, and general business transactions. Mr. Kullen regularly practices in state and federal courts throughout Oregon and Washington. In 2020, Mr. Kullen was admitted to practice in Idaho. Mr. Kullen is the Chair of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section’s Legislative Committee, and is an active member of the Credit Union National Association and the Oregon Bankers Association. Mr. Kullen is also a Director of the Rivermark Community Credit Union.

In his free time, Mr. Kullen enjoys attending concerts whenever possible, plays bass guitar with an award-winning “barrister band,” and goes sailing on his humble sailboat, the S/S Ship of Fools.
